Wittenberg-Birnamwood 18, Iola-Scandinavia 8

Wittenberg-Birnamwood bounced back from a tough loss in week three with a big Central Wisconsin Conference-Large Division home win over Iola-Scandinavia on Friday. The win moves Witt-Birn to 3-1 overall and 1-1 in conference play.

The Chargers scored on the first possession of the game, with David Gauderman scoring on a 2-yard run. The game’s next score came early in the second half, as Witt-Birn forced and recovered a fumble on the kickoff to start the half before Austin Gibson scored on a 3-yard run to make it 12-0.

It took Iola-Scandinavia just two offensive plays to answer with a touchdown, but the Chargers scored on their next drive to go back up two scores. Logan Balliett scored the touchdown on a 24-yard run.

The Chargers’ defense held up in the waning minutes of the contest, with an interception by Jordan Landowski ending one drive.

Bonduel 40, Weyauwega-Fremont 0

Max Sokolski and Isaac Banker put on a show as Bonduel eased to its first CWC-Large win, blanking Weyauwega-Fremont on Friday. The Bears improved to 3-1 overall and 1-1 in conference.

Cole Letter passed for 109 yards and two touchdowns, while Max Sokolski had two rushing touchdowns for Bonduel. Isaac Banker carried the ball nine times for 91 yards and a rushing score.

Sokolski and Banker caught a touchdown pass each, while Banker also picked off a pass and returned it for a score.

New London 21, Shawano 13

Shawano came up short in a Bay Conference road game against New London on Friday. The loss drops the Hawks to 2-2 overall and in conference play.

Brayden Dickelman powered Shawano's offense, carrying the ball 27 times for 122 and both of the team's touchdowns.

Gage Timm passed for 91 yards, with Elliott Lowney hauling in three passes for 39 yards.

Menominee Indian 36, Wild Rose 2

Menominee Indian snapped a two-game losing streak with a lopsided CWC-Small victory over Wild Rose on Friday. Menominee Indian is now 2-2 overall and 1-2 in conference play.

Tiger Dixon threw for 204 yards and two touchdowns while also hauling in a touchdown pass to lead Menominee Indian. Andre Corn had 127 total yards of offense as a runner and pass-catcher, while also contributing nine tackles on defense.

Pasen Waupoose carried the ball 12 times for 77 yards and a pair of touchdowns for the Eagles. He also had 11 tackles.

Marion/Tigerton 44, Bowler/Gresham 6

Marion/Tigerton eased past Bowler/Gresham on Friday to improve to 2-2 overall. Bowler/Gresham was playing its first game of the season.

Austin Hoffmann rushed for a pair of touchdowns and caught another while finishing with 137 total yards on offense to lead Marion/Tigerton. Ethan Scheef passed for 117 yards and two scores while rushing for 83 yards and another touchdown.

Nick Malueg tallied 54 rushing yards and a score, while Cayden Schoen caught Scheef’s other touchdown pass.

Logan Thiex scored the lone touchdown for Bowler/Gresham, a 5-yard rushing score in the first quarter. Marion/Tigerton scored the game’s final 37 points.

Marinette 24, Clintonville 0

Clintonville was unable to reach the end zone in a North Eastern Conference road loss to Marinette on Friday. Clintonville fell to 0-4 overall and in conference play.

The Truckers totaled 165 yards of offense, with Brock Smejkal hauling in seven passes for 66 yards to lead the way. Jared Cartwright passed for 53 yards, while Braiden Behnke had 40 passing yards.

Marinette finished with 227 yards of offense and intercepted Clintonville twice.
