Glen A. Hudson

Glen A. Hudson, age 62, of Gillett, passed away on Sunday, March 31, 2024.

Glen was born Jan. 23, 1962, to Gary and Betty (Krause) Hudson in Oconto Falls. He was raised on the family farm with 12 siblings. Glen graduated from Gillett High School with the class of 1980. On May 26, 1984, Glen married Barbara Jensen. The couple raised four children and spent 37 loving years together until Barb’s passing on July 3, 2021. Glen met Carrie Champagne in February 2022 and they became fast friends, later falling in love and marrying on Dec. 9, 2023.

Glen began working for United Co-Op (formerly Bay Lakes) shortly after high school, spending over 40 years with the company. He enjoyed shooting pool, darts, volleyball, fantasy football and attending concerts. Glen also enjoyed coaching basketball for his son’s teams. He loved spending time with his grandchildren and family. Glen was a lifelong member of St. John’s Lutheran Church in Morgan.

Glen is survived by his wife, Carrie; children, Rebecca (Zak) Matzke, Rick (Michelle) Hudson, Robert (Jenny) Hudson and Ryan (fiancée Melanie) Hudson; stepchildren, Cody Champagne and Mackenzie Champagne; grandchildren, Kiela, Kaylee, Kruze (Rebecca), Parker, Jaxson (Rick), Colin, Kaden, Kloe, Camryn, Kolton (Robert), Sydnie, Collin, Liam, Luca (Ryan), Cooper (Cody); siblings, Mary Jane (Burt) Dunst, Linda (Leroy) Wendt, Darlene (Gary) Uelmen, Gary (Joyce) Olson, Barb (Gary) Naparalla, Diane Steichen, Gary (Toni) Hudson, Roger (Lori) Hudson, Peggy Femling, Shelby (Jim) Bohman, Johnny Hudson; and godson, Corey Femling. He is further survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his first love, Barb; parents, Gary and Betty; sisters, Patsy Olson and Janice Busch; brother-in-law, Harold Hansen.

Visitation will be held on Friday, April 12, 2024, at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Morgan from 4-7 p.m. In Glen’s honor, please wear your favorite sports attire Friday night. Visitation resumes on Saturday, April 13, 2024, at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Morgan from 10 a.m. until the funeral service at noon with Pastor Katy Tomlanovich officiating. Glen will be laid to rest at the Town of Morgan Cemetery alongside Barb.
