Girls Tennis: Several Hawks go undefeated at invite

Shawano loses just four matches on day

KAUKAUNA — The Shawano Community High School girls tennis team turned in a 17-4 record at the Kaukauna Invite on Saturday. The Hawks faced teams from Kaukauna, Kiel, New London, Green Bay West and Menasha.

Anna Cuenca went 3-0 in No. 2 singles action, while Rylie Anderson went 3-0 in No. 4 singles play. Peyton Buerman finished with a pair of wins in No. 3 singles.

The duos of Lydia Dobberstein and Grace Licausi and Alana Krolow and Aubree Zastrow earned 3-0 marks at the No. 1 and 3 doubles flights, respectively. The team of Haley Williams and Kate Williams earned two wins at No. 2 doubles.

Shawano finished first at the invite, tallying 15 points. Kiel and New London tied for second at 12 points, while Menasha (9) was fourth and Green Bay West (2) fifth.
