Football: Shawano’s Dickelman makes WFCA all-star roster
OSHKOSH — Shawano Community High School football standout Brayden Dickelman was named to the Wisconsin Football Coaches Association All-Star Game.
Dickelman will play in the Large School All-Star Game on July 18 at UW-Oshkosh’s Titan Stadium. He will compete for the North team, which will take on the South around 5 p.m.
“It’s a really special to me,” said Dickelman, on being named to the all-star roster. “This was the last thing I had on my list of goals for this year, and to complete all of them is just an amazing feeling.”
As a senior last fall, Dickelman made the Bay Conference’s first team as a running back. He was also named the conference’s Offensive Back of the Year.
Dickelman set the school record for most rushing yards in a season. He also scored 18 touchdowns and helped the team qualify for the postseason.
The all-star is set to join the Bemidji State football team this fall.
