Darlene M. Anderson

Darlene Marie (Hirt) Anderson, 61, of Sale Creek, Tennessee, passed away on July 27, 2021, at her home. She had been a resident of this area since 1996 and was of the Lutheran faith. With Darlene, a Marine was never without a home or a meal. Her home was their home, and she loved cooking for them. Darlene enjoyed attending the Marine Corps Ball. She loved her family and always greeted people with multiple hugs and a smile. Her greatest happiness was meeting Reggie White of the Packers.

Darlene was preceded in death by her maternal grandmother, Bunny; brother, David Hirt; and nephew, Darren Jahnke.

She is survived by her husband, Michael Anderson, of Sale Creek; her parents, Harry and Donna Hirt, of Bakewell; her son, Nathan (Brandy) Anderson, of Dayton; sisters, Elizabeth Vandelinder, of Jonesboro, Tennessee, and Deborah (David) Smith of Dayton; three grandchildren, Autumn, Kylie and Blaine; and several nieces and nephews.

There will be a memorial service on Sunday, Aug. 8, 2021, at 1 p.m. in the Chapel of Coulter Garrison Funeral Home with Pastor Joe Jacks officiating.
