Dairyland League Playoff Highlights

Waupaca knocked off Bonduel on Aug. 22 in Waupaca in a Dairyland League semifinal playoff contest.

Cam Seidl pitched all nine innings for Waupaca, striking out 15 batters and surrendering just five hits and a walk.

Jason Ellie doubled in Jake Pankratz in the fourth inning for the game’s lone run. Pankratz had three hits and a stolen base.

Chase Reinke was dealt the loss, striking out seven batters over eight innings. Eric Gruenwald tallied two of Bonduel’s hits.

Hofa Park 9

Hortonville 5

Hofa Park upset Hortonville in the league’s other semifinal matchup on Aug. 22 in Hortonville.

James Borick drove in three runs on two hits and scored twice for Hofa Park. Robert Schuettpelz drove in two runs, while Brinton Anderson and Marcus Hornacek scored two runs each.

Gavin Rusch pitched the first six innings to earn the win, allowing two unearned runs. Eli Frank pitched two innings before Mike Delgado got the final three outs.

Colan Treml was dealt the loss for Hortonville. Dan Wunderlich and Brett Kramer had two hits each for Hortonville.

Grand Championship

Waupaca will host Hofa Park in the Dairyland League Grand Championship on Aug. 29 in Waupaca.

The game is scheduled to begin at 1:30 p.m.
