Waupaca 4

Bonduel 3

Waupaca edged Bonduel in a battle of the Dairyland League’s top two teams on July 1 in Bonduel.

Bonduel grabbed the lead with a pair of runs in the bottom of the third inning after a Waupaca error. The Lakemen got the runs right back in the top of the fourth on a two-run homer from Brenden Canterbury. Waupaca took a brief lead with a run in the top of the fifth. This time, Bonduel had an answer, with J.C. Reinke driving in Chase Reinke in the fifth to tie it.

Tyler Dayton drew a bases-loaded walk in the seventh to plate Luke Behm for the game-winning run. Jack Eagan earned the win for the Lakemen, striking out 18 batters and throwing 160 pitches in a complete game effort.

Bonduel starter Chase Reinke struck out nine batters in five innings. Jack Reinke pitched the final four frames and took the loss.

Cecil 5

Hofa Park 3

Cecil toppled Hofa Park in a July 2 matchup in Hofa Park.

Connor Peetz gave Cecil the lead with a RBI single in the sixth. Peetz and Braden Vandermoss tallied two hits each for the Mudhens.

Isaac Boldt led Cecil with three hits and also earned the win on the mound after pitching eight innings and striking out eight. Noah Beilfuss pitched the last inning.

Hunter Buschke suffered the loss for Hofa Park. Gavin Rusch led the team with two hits.

Pulaski 8

Navarino 6

Pulaski rallied past Navarino during a July 1 clash in Navarino.

Hunter Larson drove in three runs on a double in the ninth inning to give Pulaski an 8-6 advantage. Larson, Jack Maastricht, Jason Infusino, Ethan Bemowski and Mac Cisar all had multiple hits for the Reds, with Maastricht also homering.

Cody Pangrazzi earned the win in relief of Joel Vandehei for Pulaski.

Kyle Finger posted three hits for Navarino, while Ryan Boettcher had two hits and Mason Dingeldein drove in two runs. Boettcher pitched all nine innings, striking out five along the way.
