CWEC continues partnership with Toys for Tots

ROSHOLT — Central Wisconsin Electric Cooperative kicked off its annual Toys for Tots drive Oct. 26 at their Member Appreciation Pancake Breakfast in Rosholt.

According to Brenda Mazemke, manager of member relations at CWEC, the response was overwhelming from members who said the generous donations were greatly appreciated.

CWEC will once again partner with the U.S. Marine Corps to help make area children’s Christmas a little brighter through the Toys for Tots program.

Last year, the program was able to provide toys to more than 1,000 area children. Mazemke noted that all indications are that the amount will increase this year.
“As you can image, it is a pretty daunting task to collect that many toys,” said Mazemke. “We ask you to help us spread a little Christmas joy this holiday season by donating a new, unwrapped toy.”

All of the toys collected are distributed locally.

To make a donation, checks to Toys for Tots will be accepted by mail to Central Wisconsin Electric Coop, P.O. Box 100, Rosholt, WI 54473. To donate online, go to http://iola-wi.toysfortots.org. Donations can also be dropped off at the CWEC office located at 10401 Lystul Road, Rosholt, Monday through Friday, 7:30 a.m. to 4 p.m.
