• Cherie L. Laurent, 53, Clintonville, was charged Jan. 3 with one count of operating while intoxicated (fifth offense). Judge William F. Kussel Jr. set a cash bond of $1,500 and scheduled a resumed initial appearance for Jan. 24.

• Katie B. Beaver, 25, Oconto Falls, was charged Jan. 3 with one count of possession of THC (second or subsequent offense), four counts of bail jumping and one misdemeanor count of possession of drug paraphernalia. Judge Katherine Sloma set a signature bond of $2,500 and scheduled a resumed initial appearance for March 11.

• Charges against James R. Moon, 50, Keshena, were dismissed Jan. 4 on a prosecutor’s motion. Those charges included one count of strangulation and suffocation, one count of possession of THC (second or subsequent offense), one misdemeanor count of battery, one misdemeanor count of disorderly conduct and one misdemeanor count of possession of drug paraphernalia.

• Charges against Samuel A. Peters, 38, Gresham, were dismissed Jan. 4 on a prosecutor’s motion. Those charges included one count of failure to report to jail and one misdemeanor count of bail jumping.

• Joseph E. Boyd, 32, Gillett, pleaded no contest Jan. 5 to one count of bail jumping and one misdemeanor count of operating while revoked. Sloma sentenced Boyd to 10 days in jail.

• John J. Greer, 42, Shawano, pleaded no contest Jan. 5 to one count of bail jumping. One misdemeanor count of bail jumping was dismissed but read into the record. Sloma sentenced Greer to 180 days in jail and 18 months of probation.

• Alexis L. Lorbecke, 21, Fond du Lac, pleaded no contest Jan. 5 to two counts of battery by prisoners. One misdemeanor count of disorderly conduct was dismissed but read into the record. Sloma sentenced Lorbecke to 12 months in state prison and three years of extended supervision.

• Vince N. Crow, 30, Shawano, was charged Jan. 6 with one count of strangulation and suffocation, one misdemeanor count of battery and one misdemeanor count of disorderly conduct. Sloma set a signature bond of $2,500 and scheduled a preliminary hearing for Feb. 24.

• Derek J. Pavek, 39, Polar, pleaded no contest Jan. 6 to one count of possession of methamphetamine and one count of bail jumping. One count of bail jumping and one count of possession of narcotic drugs was dismissed but read into the record. Kussel sentenced Pavek to two years in state prison, two years of extended supervision and three years of probation.

• Devon J. Taylor Hajdu, 19, Schofield, pleaded no contest to one count of bail jumping, one misdemeanor count of disorderly conduct and one misdemeanor count of bail jumping. One count of bail jumping, one misdemeanor count of criminal damage to property and one misdemeanor count of bail jumping were dismissed but read into the record. Sloma sentenced Taylor Hajdu to 30 days in jail and 12 months of probation.

• Tina L. McCandless, 48, Menasha, was charged Jan. 7 with one count of attempted first-degree intentional homicide and one count of first-degree recklessly endangering safety. Sloma set a cash bond of $500,000 and scheduled a resumed initial appearance for Jan. 19.

• Cynthia J. Funderburg, 64, Wittenberg, was charged Jan. 7 with one count of possession of methamphetamine and one count of possession of drug paraphernalia. Sloma set a signature bond of $1,500 and scheduled a preliminary hearing for Feb. 15.

• Nicholas D. Ramponi, 21, Green Bay, was charged Jan. 7 with one count of battery or threat to a judge, prosecutor or law enforcement officer, one misdemeanor count of operating while intoxicated (third offense), one misdemeanor count of operating while revoked, one misdemeanor count of resisting or obstructing an officer, three misdemeanor counts of disorderly conduct and five misdemeanor counts of bail jumping. Sloma set a cash bond of $2,500 and a signature bond of $2,500. She also scheduled a resumed initial appearance for Feb. 7.

• Charges against Joshua E. Howard, 35, Stanley, were dismissed Jan. 7 on a prosecutor’s motion. Those charges included one count of driving or operating a vehicle without consent.
