College Highlights (Oct. 14)

Concordia-St. Paul

Pulaski High School graduate Andrew Egnarski tallied 19 total tackles in the Concordia-St. Paul football team’s loss to Bemidji State on Oct. 8.

Thirteen of the tackles were solo ones, with six being assisted. He was also credited with a ½ tackle for loss.

UW-Green Bay

Wittenberg-Birnamwood grad McKenna Metropulos enjoyed a big day while swimming for the UW-Green Bay women’s team during a dual loss to St. Thomas on Oct. 7.

Metropulos won the 100-yard freestyle with a time of 53.75 seconds and the 50 freestyle in 24.4 seconds.

She was also on the first-place finishing 200 medley relay team that had a time of 1:50.67 and the second-place finishing 200 freestyle relay team that posted a mark of 1:40.71.

Carroll University

Pulaski graduate Jake Binkowski recorded three total tackles in the Carroll football team’s loss to North Central on Oct. 8.

Binkowski now has 24 total tackles on the season.

UW-La Crosse

Pulaski grad Maggie Hernandez helped the UW-La Crosse women’s soccer team to two wins last week.

She was credited with an assist in a 6-0 win over UW-River Falls on Oct. 5. She also took one shot.

Hernandez played 47 minutes in the team’s 2-0 win over UW-Eau Claire on Oct. 8.

Grand Canyon University

Witt-Birn grad Wyatt Dickman had a busy couple days competing for the Grand Canyon University men’s swim team during the Colorado Mesa Intermountain Shootout on Sept. 30 and Oct. 1.

Dickman finished fourth in the 100 IM with a time of 52.85 seconds. He was seventh in the 100 breaststroke (57.44) and sixth in the 50 breaststroke (26.35).

Dickman also placed ninth in the 200 breaststroke (2:09.46) and 25th in the 200 IM (2:01.85). He was on the seventh-place finishing 200 medley relay team that had a time of 1:33.8.

UW-Stevens Point

Oconto Falls grad Joe Adams placed 80th while running for the UW-Stevens Point men’s cross-country team at the Gene Davis Invitational on Oct. 8.

Adams completed the course in 29:05.

Minnesota State University Moorhead

Pulaski graduate Jocelin Feutz played one set in the Minnesota State University Moorhead volleyball team’s loss Northern State on Oct. 4.

Feutz was credited with one block assist.

Northland College

Marion grad Isaiah Gueths placed 38th while golfing for the Northland College men’s team during the UMAC Golf Championships on Oct. 6-8.

He opened the championships with a round of 117. He bounced back with rounds of 96 and 103 to finish with a total score of 316.

UW-River Falls

Shawano grads Gage and Crede Timm each played in the UW-River Falls football team’s tight win over UW-Oshkosh on Oct. 8.

Gage Timm had a solo tackle and returned a kickoff 15 yards.

Crede Timm booted a 39-yard punt.

UW-Eau Claire

Bonduel graduate Isaac Garside enjoyed a big game, but the UW-Eau Claire football team still lost to UW-Whitewater on Oct. 8.

Garside caught a 14-yard touchdown pass and ran for an 11-yard touchdown. He finished with five rushes for 27 yards and eight catches for 91 yards. He also returned one kickoff and one punt.

Former Bonduel teammate Parker Bohm also played in the game, serving as the long snapper on four kick attempts. The team made all four kicks.

Ripon College

Gillett grad Angela Mosconi placed 15th while running for the Ripon women’s cross-country team during the Gene Davis Invitational on Oct. 8.

Mosconi posted a time of 24:24.4.

UW-Whitewater

Bonduel graduate Baylie Hansen played in one set during the UW-Whitewater volleyball team’s sweep of Montclair State on Oct. 9.

Hansen recorded an attack kill and one block assist.

University of Minnesota Duluth

Pulaski graduate Logan Kobus punted twice in the Minnesota Duluth football team’s win over University of Mary on Oct. 8.

The two punts traveled 86 combined yards.
