Utah State Eastern

Gresham graduate Christian Haffner turned in a pair of strong games for the Utah State Eastern men's basketball team during the Scenic West Athletic Conference Tournament on Feb. 27 and 28.

Haffner hit three 3-pointers and tallied 12 points in the team's 72-69 win over Colorado Northwestern Community College on Feb. 27. He also tallied three rebounds, two assists and two steals.

Haffner knocked down five 3-pointers to post 15 points in the team's 80-70 loss to Salt Lake Community College. He also contributed two assists, a steal and a rebound.

Saginaw Valley State

Shawano graduate Tori DePerry started and played 29 minutes in the Saginaw Valley State women's basketball team's final regular season matchup, a 68-57 loss to Northwood on Feb. 27.

DePerry scored eight points after making four field goals. The freshman also totaled two rebounds, an assist and a steal.

UW-Eau Claire

Marion graduate Kalyssa Watters took part in a pair of events for the UW-Eau Claire women's track and field team at the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Indoor Track & Field Championships in Oshkosh on Feb. 28 and 29.

Watters came in eighth in the shot put after a top throw of 42 feet, 1.5 inches. The finish earned the team a point.

Watters also came in 20th in the weight throw with a toss of 46-11.

Edgewood

Gresham graduate Mackenzie Hoffman put together a pair of solid games at the plate despite the Edgewood College softball team losing twice at the Rochester Dome Tournament on March 1 in Rochester, Minnesota.

In the team's first game of the season — an 8-7 loss to Mount Mary — Hoffman singled, drew two walks and scored a run. One of the two walks came with the bases loaded, so Hoffman also recorded a RBI.

In a 7-1 loss to St. Scholastica, Hoffman drove in the team's only run with a single in the sixth inning. The run-scoring hit brought Edgewood within three runs, but St. Scholastica scored three runs in the next half-inning to seal up the game.
