College Highlights (Jan. 6)

UW-Parkside

Pulaski High School graduate Sheridan Flauger started and played 29 minutes for the UW-Parkside women’s basketball team in its win over Missouri-St. Louis on Dec. 31.

Flauger tallied 13 points, two rebounds, three steals and two assists in her time on the court. She made four field goals, including three 3-pointers, and a pair of free throws.

Saginaw Valley State University

Shawano grad Tori DePerry turned in another big game for the Saginaw Valley State women’s basketball team during a loss to Cedarville on Dec. 31.

DePerry played 35 minutes, accumulating 23 points, nine rebounds, one assist and one steal. DePerry converted six field goals, including two 3-pointers, and all nine of her free throws.

St. Cloud State University

Pulaski graduate Jasmine Litt scored 13 points in 13 minutes in the St. Cloud State women’s basketball team’s win over MSU-Moorhead on Dec. 31.

Litt made four field goals, including two 3-pointers, and three free throws. She also had four rebounds, one steal, one block and one assist.

Bemidji State University

Shawano grad Brooke Theis turned in 10 strong minutes off the bench during the Bemidji State women’s basketball team’s setback to Mary on Dec. 30.

Theis made both of her field goals to score four points. She also had a steal and assist.

Theis played four minutes in the team’s win over Minot State on Dec. 31.

Cardinal Stritch University

Gillett graduate Aubrey DeBauch continued to produce for the Cardinal Stritch women’s basketball team during a pair of games last week.

In a loss to Milwaukee School of Engineering on Dec. 29, DeBauch played 23 minutes off the bench and tallied eight points, eight rebounds and two assists.

DeBauch recorded six points, three rebounds and one assist across 14 minutes in a loss to Maryville on Dec. 31.

St. Martin’s University

Gresham grad Christian Haffner has played in 12 games for the St. Martin’s men’s basketball team this season.

Haffner is averaging 19 minutes, 6.7 points, 1.5 rebounds and 1 assist per game while shooting about 41% from the field and 43% from 3-point land.

He was recently named to the second team for his play at the Hoops in Hawai’i Holiday Classic. Haffner scored in double figures in all three of the team’s games at the classic, and also connected on a clutch 3-pointer to push a game against Chaminade to overtime.

Wisconsin Lutheran College

Pulaski graduate Trevor Stiede and Bonduel graduate Kara Troxel played for the Wisconsin Lutheran College men’s and women’s basketball teams last week.

Stiede grabbed a rebound across 11 minutes in the men’s loss to Loras on Dec. 31.

Troxel played 15 minutes in the women’s loss to Transylvania on Dec. 29. She had six points, two rebounds and a steal across 17 minutes in a win over Centre on Dec. 30.
