Oakland City

Bowler High School graduate Reanne Kietlinski is off to a strong start to her sophomore season as a member of the Oakland City women’s basketball team.

As of Friday, Kietlinski has started in all 13 of the team’s games, averaging 29.4 minutes per game. Along with totaling 45 assists, 17 steals and five blocks, the Bowler grad is scoring 9.4 points and pulling down 3.4 rebounds per game. She’s shooting 0.411% from the field and 0.833% on free throws.

Kietlinski has scored in every game, including five games with over 10 points. Her season high was 20 points in the team’s season-opening loss to Campbellsville University.

Bemidji State

Wittenberg-Birnamwood graduate Taylor Nier appeared in two matches for the Bemidji State volleyball team this fall. She had four digs.

Nier, a junior, also made the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference All-Academic Team of Excellence (fall academic team).

UW-Stevens Point

Witt-Birn graduate Hannah Flak has been a fixture in the pool for the UW-Stevens Point women’s swim team this season.

At the Wheaton Invite on Dec. 6-7, Flak placed 27th in the 200-yard backstroke, 35th in the 100 backstroke and 36th in the 200 IM. She was also on three relay teams, the 200 freestyle (14th place), 200 medley (21st) and 400 freestyle (25th).

In a dual win over UW-Whitewater on Nov. 23, Flak came in fifth in the 200 backstroke and 10th in the 200 freestyle and was on the fifth-place finishing 200 freestyle relay team. In a loss to Northern Michigan on Nov. 9, Flak was sixth in the 200 backstroke and 10th in the 100 backstroke while helping form the 200 medley and 400 freestyle relay teams.

In a triangular against Minnesota State and Gustavus Adolphus on Nov. 2, the Witt-Birn grad came in 13th in the 100 backstroke, 16th in the 200 backstroke and 18th in the 200 IM. In a dual loss to UW-Eau Claire on Oct. 25, she was ninth in the 200 freestyle, 11th in the 100 backstroke and a member of the 200 medley relay.

Winona State

Witt-Birn graduate Maddy Pietz opened her sophomore season of track and field at Winona State competing in the Chuck Peterson Open in Mankato, Minn. on Dec. 7.

Pietz ran the 60 and 200 dashes, finishing 11th in both events.
