St. Norbert

Shawano Community High School graduate Jeffrey Green swam in several events for the St. Norbert men’s swim team at the Midwest Conference Championships, which ran Feb. 14-16.

Green was on the 200-yard medley relay team that placed first in 1 minute, 35.66 seconds. Green tied for 10th in the 50 freestyle (22.21) and placed 14th in the 100 breaststroke (1:07.94).

The college sophomore took 16th in the 50 freestyle prelims with a time of 22.89. He was 17th in the 200 breaststroke prelims with a time of 2:31.98.

Utah State Eastern

Gresham graduate Christian Haffner put together a pair of strong games off the bench to help the Utah State Eastern men’s basketball team split a pair of games over the past week.

In an 87-71 win over Colorado Northwestern Community College on Feb. 15, Haffner posted 23 points, three assists, two steals and a rebound in 23 minutes. Haffner knocked down five 3-pointers and six free throws in the contest.

Haffner contributed nine points in the team’s 80-66 loss to Snow College on Feb. 13. All of Haffner’s points came on 3-pointers.

Saginaw Valley State

Shawano graduate Tori DePerry helped the Saginaw Valley State University women’s basketball team split a pair of games over the past week.

DePerry totaled 12 points, eight rebounds and a steal across 22 minutes in the team’s 75-52 dismantling of Davenport on Feb. 15. The freshman hit two 3-pointers among her four field goals.

DePerry played 14 minutes in the team’s 72-34 loss to sixth-ranked Grand Valley State on Feb. 13. She scored two points and grabbed a rebound.

UW-Eau Claire

Marion graduate Kalyssa Watters took part in two events for the UW-Eau Claire women’s track and field team at the St. Thomas Showcase in St. Paul, Minnesota, on Feb. 14.

Watters placed sixth in the shot put with a throw of 12.49 meters. She took 11th in the weight throw with a toss of 14.01 meters.

St. Mary’s University

Shawano graduate Griffin Rades competed in several events for the St. Mary’s University of Minnesota men’s swim team at the Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Championships, which ran Feb. 12-15.

On Feb. 12, Rades was a part of the eighth-place finishing 200 medley relay team that posted a time of 1:49.84.

Rades placed 15th in the 100 backstroke (58.12) on Feb. 14. The following day, he helped form the 400 freestyle relay that took eighth in 3:38.38.

Wausau

Gresham graduate Drew Haffner and the Wausau Huskies won a Wisconsin Collegiate Conference playoff game over the Fond du Lac Falcons on Feb. 15.

Wausau won 122-112 in double overtime. No other game statistics were available.
