CLINTONVILLE — Holiday activities are underway, according to Nicole Echrich, executive director of the Clintonville Area Chamber of Commerce.

The annual Christmas parade is scheduled for 6 p.m. Monday with the theme “One Shining Star.” Any business, 4-H club, nonprofit or family can enter the parade. To participate or get more information, call the chamber at 715-823-4606 or email adminstrativeassistant@clintonvillewichamber.com.

Clintonville firefighters will be collecting non-perishable items for the food pantry. They will be dressed in their gear, pushing shopping carts in the parade to collect donations.

Children are encouraged to write letters to Santa. The North Pole Express mailbox will be located at the corner of S. Main Street and 10th Street until 2 p.m. on Dec. 6.

A community tree lighting ceremony will be held at 6 p.m. Dec. 6 at First State Bank, followed by a Santa meet and greet until 7:15 p.m. Kelly Trebus with State Farm Insurance will provide free popcorn. Hot chocolate and cookies will be served and there will be children’s activities. Appeal Digital Image and Design will take pictures with Santa for $10. All children who come to visit Santa will receive a gift bag.

Jeremy’s Tree Service is working with the chamber to raise funds for all of the Clintonville school lunch accounts that have fallen behind with funds.

“Jeremy’s will match every dollar donated up to $2,000 on the night of the Tree Lighting to help end hunger in local schools,” Echrich said. “Jeremy will be at the tree lighting and will be accepting donations at that time.”

Donations can also be mailed to N10780 County Road Y, Clintonville, WI 54929.

The search for the Christmas Medallion is now underway. The first clue is displayed on the window of the Chamber of Commerce at 1 S. Main St. Each Monday for four weeks, an additional clue will be given with the last clue on Dec. 16. One medallion has been placed outdoors within Clintonville city limits. The person finding the medallion must bring it to the chamber office no later than 2 p.m. Dec. 20. The winner will receive $50 in Chamber Bucks.
