Champions crowned on final night of racing

Raddant, Yarie, Van Straten, Schmidt, Westphal win titles

Kyle Raddant, Marcus Yarie, Travis Van Straten, Jayden Schmidt and Tanner Westphal claimed championships after the final night of the 2021 race season at Shawano Speedway on Sept. 4.

Raddant won the Late Model division, finishing 13 points ahead of Luke Postl and 20 points ahead of Nick Anvelink.

Raddant finished ninth in the final Late Model feature race. Justin Ritchie took first, with Brett Swedberg in second and Anvelink in third.

Yarie finished atop the IMCA Modified field. Konnor Wilinski finished 10 points back, while Jerry Wilinski was 11 points behind.

Yarie claimed 12th in the final feature race. Jerry Wilinski won the race, with Konnor Wilinski in second and Jason Ebert in third.

Van Straten won his eighth consecutive title, claiming the top spot in the IMCA Stock Car division. He finished 26 points ahead of Trent Nolan and 44 points in front of Kyle Frederick.

Van Straten placed eighth in the final feature race. Frederick ended up winning the race, with Nolan in second and Chucky Forstner in third.

Schmidt was the top finisher in the IMCA Sport Mod class. Jeffery Teske was in second, 25 points back. Tyler Sobiesczyk came in third and 32 points behind Schmidt.

Jake Carpenter won the final feature race, holding off Schmidt, who was second. Dylon Waldvogel came in third.

Westphal won the Mighty 4 class, finishing eight points ahead of Brad Wedde. William Hoefs was in third, 69 points back.

It was Wedde that won the final feature race, with Westphal taking second. Tony Everard claimed third.
