The Milwaukee Brewers were unable to capitalize in the late innings of a 3-0 loss to the Atlanta Braves in game two of the National League Division Series on Oct. 9 in Milwaukee.

Milwaukee had runners on first and second with two down in the seventh inning, but Tyrone Taylor struck out to end the inning.

The first two Brewers reached base in the eighth, but a strikeout, flyout and strikeout ended the frame without a run crossing the plate.

The first two batters also reached in the ninth, but a lineout followed up by a double play ended the game, tying the best-of-five series at a game each.

Milwaukee struck out 14 times in the game and finished with only six hits. The team left eight runners on base.

Brandon Woodruff started for the Brewers and struck out seven batters over six innings. He walked one batter and surrendered five hits and a solo home run.

Atlanta scored its first two runs in the third inning before tacking on an insurance run in the sixth on a homer.

Max Fried earned the win for Atlanta, striking out nine over six innings.

Game three of the series is at 12:07 p.m. on Oct. 11 in Atlanta.
