Q: When did your interest in basketball begin?

A: My interest in basketball started when I was really young watching my older cousins (Ezra Spencer, Kobe Miller) play. I just wanted to be good enough to play with them.

Q: What is your favorite part about the basketball season?

A: My favorite part of the basketball season is playing home games because of the home crowd.

Q: What has the game of basketball taught you over the years?

A: The game has taught me through the years that it takes a lot of time and experience to develop the confidence you need to play as good as you can. I haven’t always had the confidence I have now, but you need to believe you’re the best player on the court to actually play that way.

Q: Talk about the work you’ve put in to become the basketball player you are today.

A: I have played with countless opponents, and I realized playing better kids made you better than anything else. I have played five seasons of AAU and transferred to Wittenberg in fifth grade to have more game experience and have more opportunity at playing better kids and learning from them.

Q: Do you have any individual goals you hope to accomplish this season, and what will it take to achieve those?

A: Really the only goals I have for myself are to compete and have fun and play my best to enjoy my senior season.

Q: Your team is several games into the season now. What are some aspects of the game your team wants to improve on?

A: My team has gotten better so far this season. We feel we need to improve our defense and our decision-making skills on the offensive side.

Q: As a senior, how do you try to lead the rest of your team?

A: Being a senior, I try to set an example on being coachable, and making good decisions on the court, as well as teaching and talking to our younger guys and try to make them better players for our team.

Q: What’s your favorite memory of competing on the Wittenberg-Birnamwood boys basketball team?

A: My favorite memory would be winning our three home regional games my sophomore year to win regionals.

Q: Favorite movie, TV show and musical artist?

A: Movie — “Spider-Man: No Way Home.” TV show — “Friends.” Musical artist — Stevie Ray Vaughan

Q: Name one thing about yourself that not many people know.

A: My hidden talent is Guitar Hero.

Q: What are some things you hope to accomplish after graduating high school?

A: I have no plans after high school.
