Bonduel senior runner ready to help team to more success

Kalleigh Schroeder has already helped the Bonduel High School girls cross-country team make history, and now she’s trying to end her high school career on a high note this fall.

Schroeder’s first year of cross-country didn’t come until last fall, but she played a big role for the girls team that won its first-ever Central Wisconsin Conference title and made it to state for a third straight season.

Schroeder placed ninth at the 2019 CWC Meet to help the team to its top finish, then placed 15th at sectionals to help the team qualify for state. She finished 85th at the state meet.

The senior is hoping to help the team to similar accomplishments this fall. The girls team got its season off to a strong start after finishing second in the T-Bird Invitational on Aug. 31.

Schroeder was again a big reason for the team’s strong finish, as she crossed the finish line in ninth place.
