Q: When did your interest in football begin?

A: My interest in football began in third grade when Suring High School offered peewee football for the elementary students.

Q: What is your favorite part about the football season?

A: My favorite part about the football season is the camaraderie we share as teammates. Win or lose, in the end we are all there for one another.

Q: What are some keys to your team earning more wins as the season winds down?

A: The things our team needs to win is communication and positivity. The team and I play better when we have positivity and communication.

Q: You are enjoying a strong season on the field. What’s attributed to that success?

A: The biggest attribute that has helped me this season is playing for my teammates. Not only do I want to win, I want the team to win as a whole. When all of my teammates use their talents, we are a force to be reckoned with.

Q: Do you have any individual goals you hope to accomplish by the end of the season?

A: My greatest individual goal for this season is to play the best I can. I want to be a player that teams prepare to defend against.

Q: As a senior, how are you helping lead the rest of the team?

A: The positivity and camaraderie are the greatest ways I, along with the other seniors, lead the team. Every time somebody hangs their head, there is always a senior or even junior there to pick them up.

Q: Do you have any rituals you go through before a game starts?

A: I personally do not have any pre-game rituals. However, the team and I have a pre-game prayer that we say before every game starts.

Q: What’s your favorite memory of competing on the Suring football team?

A: My favorite memory playing here at Suring was my freshman year. Every week when preparing for a team, the underclassmen play as a “scout team.” As I was playing as a corner on the scout team, I filled a lane to tackle Logan Stuart. As I went to wrap up, I accidentally stepped on his toe. The very next play, Logan hit me so hard I did a back flip.

Q: Favorite movie, TV show and musical artist?

A: Movie — “Saving Private Ryan.” TV show — “The Office.” Musical artist – Juice WRLD.

Q: Name one thing about yourself that not many people know.

A: One thing that is only locally known is that I am in the Army.

Q: What are some things you hope to accomplish after graduating high school?

A: There are three major things that I want to accomplish after high school. I want to be an Army recruiter or an Army Ranger. I want to bulk to 180-200, and I want to get a bachelor’s degree in nutrition and fitness.
