Area volleyball teams learn postseason seeds, matchups

Alternate fall season volleyball postseason seeds were announced for Gresham, Tigerton, Bowler and Menominee Indian.

There will be two divisions for the playoffs.

Gresham earned the No. 1 seed in its four-team Division 2 regional pod. The Wildcats will take on fourth-seeded Elcho.

In the same pod, Tigerton picked up the No. 2 seed and will take on No. 3 Bowler.

All regional matches will be played on April 10. Because Gresham got the top seed, it will host the regional matches.

The Gresham, Elcho match will start at 1 p.m., with Tigerton playing Bowler at 4 p.m. The winners will play in the regional final at 7:30 p.m.

Menominee Indian is a No. 3 seed in its Division 2 regional pod. The Eagles will take on second-seeded Oneida Nation at 4 p.m..

Top-seeded Kewaunee will battle No. 4 Algoma in the other regional matchup at 1 p.m. Games will be played at Kewaunee High School.

The winner of each regional final will advance to sectionals, which will be played April 13.

The sectional winners will play state semifinal matches on April 15 before the state championship on April 17. The state championship will be played at Kaukauna High School.
