Stephany French, 28, Green Bay, was back in court Jan. 13, where Shawano-Menominee County Circuit Court Judge Katherine Sloma scheduled another final pre-trial, in relation to an alleged drug homicide back on Sept. 3, 2021.

French was charged Feb. 1, 2022 with one count of first-degree reckless homicide by delivering drugs, one count of manufacturing or delivering less than three grams of heroin, one count of manufacturing or delivering less than or equal to three grams of amphetamine, one count of theft from a person or corpse, and one misdemeanor count of duty to aid a victim or report a crime in connection with the drug-overdose death of a man at the Mohican North Star Casino Resort in the Town of Bartelme.

She appeared over Zoom along with her attorney Steven Maciolek, who requested another final pre-trial due to scheduling conflicts with the Shawano County District Attorney.

“I attempted to speak with Mr. (Greg) Parker about this case and have not had any luck scheduling a meeting with him, so I am going to schedule another final pre-trial,” said Maciolek.

Sloma and Assistant District Attorney Laura Nelson both agreed to scheduling another final pre-trial for March 29 at 3:15 p.m.
