Alvin J. Sanapaw Sr.

Alvin J. Sanapaw Sr., 56, passed away on Sunday, March 22, 2020, in Keshena, surrounded by family. He was born Nov. 23, 1963, in Shawano to Joseph and Margaret (Peters) Sanapaw. Alvin lived in the Keshena area all his life. He enjoyed picking berries, going to casinos, being in the woods, gardening, cooking and shanging.

Survivors include his partner, Kendall Long; his children, Alvin Sanapaw Jr., Amanda Sanapaw, Shaunice King, Deion Sanapaw and Kenny Long; siblings, Roberta James, Raymond (Debra) Sanapaw, Michelle Sturdavent, Sheila Neosh, Richard (Brenda) Sanapaw, Kenny (Geraldine) Sanapaw, Stefanie (Marty) Pamonicutt, LeRoy (Keri) Sanapaw, T.J. (Sasha) Sanapaw, Shawn Sanapaw and Kristin Sanapaw; and six grandchildren. He is further survived by numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Alvin was preceded in death by his father, Joseph Sanapaw; mother, Margaret Peters Sanapaw; his grandparents, Jerome Sanome Sanapaw and Merceline Kinepoway Sanapaw; one brother, Joseph; and one sister, Lynette.
