Adrianna Kots

Adrianna Kots, 93, of Birnamwood, passed away on Wednesday, Feb. 13, 2019, at the Homme Home of Wittenberg.

She was born on Jan. 15, 1926, in Grand Rapids, Michigan, the daughter of the late Teunis and Elizabeth (Akkerhuis) Visser. On Jan. 15, 1948, she married George Kots in Laverne, Minnesota. He preceded her in death on June 26, 1988.

Adrianna’s first love was serving her Lord. She was a devoted mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She worked for the Homme Home Youth and Family Programs as a cook and housekeeper for over 20 years. She adored her dog, Susie, who was her constant companion.

Survivors include her three daughters, Linda (James) Ramaker, of Prairie du Sac, Marcia Nueske (Paul Hartleben), of Wittenberg, and Laurie (Dick) Beyer, of Wittenberg; seven grandchildren, Sarah (Rob) Schueler, Calvin (Tonia) Ramaker, Ryan Nueske, Ross Nueske, Chanda (Phil) Kersten, Corey Beyer (Kelly) and Chad Beyer; 10 great-grandchildren; one brother, Peter (Muriel) Visser, of Sioux Center, Iowa; sisters-in-law, Gertrude Visser and Goldie (Max) Bowman; brothers-in-law, Ted Coleman and George Headrick; and many other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, George; four brothers, William, Gilbert, Gerrit and John; son-in-law, James Nueske; and granddaughter, Cynthia Ramaker.

The funeral service was held on Monday, Feb. 18, 2019, at 2 p.m. at Schmidt & Schulta Funeral Home, Wittenberg. Robert Eberhardt, Travis Wagner, Eric Nueske and Linda Woolum officiated. Burial was in Forest Cemetery, Birnamwood.

Visitation was from 12 p.m. until the time of service on Monday at the funeral home.
