3 area players named to Legion all-star rosters

Shawano’s Carson Popp, Pulaski’s Logan Hochevar and Bonduel’s Garrett Engel were all recently named to Wisconsin American Legion Baseball State All-Star rosters.

Popp and Hochevar are each on the Stars’ roster, while Engel will play for the Stripes’ team.

The all-star game will take place on Aug. 7 at American Family Field in Milwaukee following the conclusion of the MLB game between the Milwaukee Brewers and Cincinnati Reds.

All-stars are set to arrive in Milwaukee on Aug. 6. There will be a meeting and banquet that evening.

On Aug. 7, the all-stars will eat breakfast before getting to American Family Field at 11:30 a.m. They will be part of a pregame ceremony at 12:30 p.m. and then watch the Brewers take on the Reds at 1:10 p.m.
