2 WASP swimmers fare well at regional meet

Rylee Crick and Reese Dickman represented the Wittenberg Area Swim Program at the 2021 Wisconsin Long Course Summer Regional Meet from July 16-18 at the Walter Schroeder Aquatic Center in Brown Deer.

Crick competed in six events in the girls 11-12 year old division, while Dickman took part in one event in the girls open division.

Crick’s top finish was ninth in the 50-meter breaststroke with a time of 46.18 seconds. She claimed 12th in the 100 breaststroke (1:41.67) and 22nd in the 50 backstroke (43.73).

Crick was also 26th in the 100 backstroke (1:32.48), 30th in the 100 freestyle (1:19.04) and 32nd in the 50 freestyle (35.96).

Dickman placed 10th in the 200 breaststroke (3:14.31).

Resch to rep team at state

WASP’s Faith Resch will compete at the 2021 Wisconsin 13-and-over Long Course State Meet on July 29 at the RecPlex in Pleasant Prairie.

Resch posted a state-qualifying time in the 50 freestyle to earn a spot at state.
