Tigerton volleyball team beats league leader

Tigerton 3, Northland Lutheran 1

Tigerton hosted and defeated Central Wisconsin Conference-North leading Northland Lutheran 3-1 with set scores of 25-19, 25-22, 16-25 and 25-22.

“It was a very exciting match from start to finish,” said coach Holly Meverden. “The crowd was into every play and cheered us on the entire evening.”

Bonduel’s Mariah Wondra won the girls event 19:47, with Wittenberg-Birnamwood’s Rory Salvesen taking second in 20:10. However, when it came to team finishes, the Chargers placed second, and the Bears were fourth.

Joining Salvesen on the course were: Nora Bushman, fifth place, 20:27.8; Harper Kroll, 10th, 21:06.1; and Gabrielle Timm, 19th, 22:02. Also running was Jayden Zeinert.

Pulaski 1, Manitowoc 1

The Red Raiders and Ships played to a 1-1 draw.

Manitowoc’s goal came 45 seconds into the match, courtesy of Grant Graf. Pulaski was able to equalize in the 45th minute with a goal off a corner kick from Hudson Schultz. Donovan Holderness got the assist.

Neither team was able to find a winner. Mitchell Drescher made 13 saves in goal for Manitowoc (3-12-2, 2-3-2). Josh Roth and Jonah Drevs each played a half in goal for Pulaski (12-3-3, 3-3-1).

Pulaski crushes Ashwaubenon on soccer field

Pulaski 10, Ashwaubenon 0

The Pulaski Red Raiders cruised to a 10-0 victory over the visiting Jaguars.

Pulaski got a fast start, scoring two goals in the first five minutes of the game. Four more first-half goals for the Red Raiders made it 6-0 at the halftime break.

The scoring continued in the second half as Pulaski grabbed three more goals in the opening 10 minutes of the half.

Jaden Kirsch got the final goal of the game for the Red Raiders.

Gresham beats Tigerton in volleyball

Gresham 3, Tigerton 0

Gresham shut out Tigerton 3-0 and stayed atop the Central Wisconsin North Conference with a 7-2 mark. Scores were 25-13, 25-14, 25-19.

Top players for Gresham were Janay Pecore-Kirkland with 13 kills; Rylie Kakwitch with 11 kills and 10 digs; Lexi Baddmoccosin-Barnes with 12 assists, 15 digs and six kills; Kiara Cornelius with 13 assists and 10 service points; and Cami Gourley with 11 service points.

WIAA Subsectionals

The Shawano girls tennis season came to an end at subsectionals at Western Racquet & Fitness Club in Ashwaubenon.

Rachael Carroll had a first round win in three sets but was unable to stage a comeback to make it to sectionals.

Menominee Nation boys take second at Marion cross-country meet

Marion Invitational

Menominee Nation boys placed second out of three complete teams, just one point behind Amherst but well ahead of Weyauwega-Fremont.

Ryan Corn placed third overall in 19:45.

The Eagles earned spots seven through 11 with Jason Chapman in seventh at 20:21.8. Following him were Barron Waupoose in 20:47, Quinn Olson in 20:48.9, Francis Delabrau in 20:50.8 and Michael Peters III in 20:51.2. Cashius Reevis finished in 17th place with a time of 22:14.

Bears crush Peshtigo in football

Bonduel 49, Peshtigo 6

Bonduel improved to 5-0 in the Packerland Conference after its 49-6 crushing of Peshtigo.

Bonduel ran for four touchdowns and threw for three more in a 49-6 romp over Peshtigo.

Cade Johnson connected on 7-of-11 aerial attempts for 12o yards. Sam Roberts caught three balls for 56 yards, and Aiden Hillsberg caught one for 55 yards.

Bonduel, Gresham win in volleyball shutouts

Bonduel 3, Rosholt 0

Bonduel defeated Rosholt in three sets by scores of 25-19, 25-14 and 25-14.

Audrey Weier led Bonduel with 18 kills and 11 digs. Juliana Jacobs chipped in eight kills on just 13 attempts. Josie Anvelink led in digs with 15. Paige Niquette had 25 assists, and Jayla Reinke had 10 assists, 10 digs, and 15 service points.
