Tucked in the back of Mimi’s Closet and More’s vendor village is an unassuming booth that carries a very unique product, Elderberry Syrup Brew Kits.

Bonnie Cotter, of Shawano, is the owner of Bonnie’s Naturals. She began selling her special handcrafted elderberry syrup brew kits recently in her booth at 105 N. Airport Road, Shawano.

“I always am being creative on how to help other people,” Cotter said.

Libby Rummel is not a typical teenager.

Instead of shopping, hanging out with friends, heading off to college or checking out the latest YouTube or TikTok videos, the 18-year-old spends much of her time at Northern Paws, a pet supply store she opened on her own in December in Lakewood.

It isn’t every day that a family-owned and run restaurant reaches the milestone of being in business for 30 years.

In Shawano, there is one such place.

Luigi’s Pizza and Pasta in Shawano celebrated its 30th anniversary on Dec. 26.

She’s only 19 years old, but Charli Ritter has already made some big decisions in her life.

One of them included purchasing a building and opening her own business.

Three months after she first opened the doors to Mountain Ground at 13960 State Highway 32 in Mountain, Ritter is convinced she made the right move and is looking forward to a busy summer with plenty of tourists.

Honey Soul Collectives Co., located at 144 S. Main St. in downtown Shawano, opened its storefront business Sept. 27, 2025.

At Blazer’s Bar and Grill, located at N3189 County Road SS in rural Tigerton, owner Chelsea Wiszus and her staff have plenty of food and drink on hand — with hot, homemade daily specials offered to customers, offsetting cold winter days.

With a heart to serve, Wiszus has been in the restaurant industry ever since she was 15 years old, as her first job was waitressing at Prime Time in Marion.
