Fernandez concert to benefit Waking Women institute
Wade Fernandez will be performing a concert at 4 p.m. Nov. 21 at First Congregational Church of Christ, 724 E. South River St., Appleton. At the concert, a freewill offering will be received to benefit the Waking Women Healing Institute, started by Kristen Welch, of Gresham, to address and prevent Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women and acts of sexual violence against Indigenous women, girls and two-spirits.

Toys for Tots seeking volunteers, donations
The United States Marine Corps Reserve Toys for Tots Program of Eastern and Central Shawano County has announced the 2021 campaign is underway. The Toys for Tots program for Eastern and Central Shawano County provides new, unwrapped toys for less fortunate children at Christmas.

Wisconsin 4-H Foundation seeks art contest entries
The Wisconsin 4-H Foundation has kicked off a contest that challenges all 4-H members to explore their creativity. The Wisconsin 4-H Foundation Celebrates the Arts art contest is open to any current Wisconsin 4-H member, with cash prizes totaling nearly $1,000.
