CWEC collects 1,200 toys for Toys for Tots

The generosity of area residents, organizations, and businesses, helped make sure almost 1,200 area children received toys for Christmas through the Central Wisconsin Electric Cooperative (CWEC) Marine Corps Reserves Toys for Tots campaign.

That marked an increase of almost 150 children when compared to the 2022 CWEC Toys for Tots campaign.

The Shawano County Sheriff’s Office raided the Shawano Walmart on Nov. 29, taking hundreds of toys into custody with onlookers watching.

CWEC continues partnership with Toys for Tots

ROSHOLT — Central Wisconsin Electric Cooperative kicked off its annual Toys for Tots drive Oct. 26 at their Member Appreciation Pancake Breakfast in Rosholt.

According to Brenda Mazemke, manager of member relations at CWEC, the response was overwhelming from members who said the generous donations were greatly appreciated.

CWEC will once again partner with the U.S. Marine Corps to help make area children’s Christmas a little brighter through the Toys for Tots program.
