Karen Marie Boettcher (Sutrick), 64, passed away Jan. 21, 2026, surrounded by loved ones, at Meadowbrook in Oconto Falls.
She was born March 6, 1961, in Oconto Falls where she spent her early life and attended Oconto Falls High School. She later moved to the Marinette and Peshtigo area where she resided for many years.
Karen was a woman who found joy in the simple, meaningful things in life. She loved gardening, fishing, rummage sales, music and making crafts — passions that reflected her creativity, patience and appreciation for life’s little treasures.
Above all else, Karen was deeply family-oriented. Being a mother was at the heart of who she was. She was the proud mom of four children, grandmother of nine grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Her love for her family was unconditional. She always made sure everyone heard her say, “I love you” before leaving.
She is also lovingly remembered by her faithful companion, her dog Gunner, who was always by her side and held a special place in her heart.
Karen’s kindness, warmth and love will live on through her family and all who were blessed to know her. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
She is survived by her children, Aimee Spice, Adam Spice, Aaron Spice (Jen) and Terrance Spice Jr.; grandchildren, Selina (Travis), Dominick (Erin), Addison, Callie, Rylan, Lennon, Anthem, Mathias and Ivan; great-grandchildren, Genson and Amina; and her siblings, Dennis (Jan) Sutrick Sr., Bob (Kathy) Sutrick, Al Sutrick, Dano (Mary) Suttrek, Gary (Deb) Sutrick, Cheryl (Dan) Fountaine-Sutrick, Kevin Sutrick Sr., Bruce Frechette and Darlene (Jim) Kellow; a sister-in-law, Shirley Sutrick, and many nieces and nephews.
Karen was preceded in death by her parents, Edmund (Lillian) Sutrick and Grace (Zarling) Sutrick; a brother, Edmund Sutrick Jr.; a sister-in-law, Jane Sutrick; and a nephew, Kevin Sutrick Jr.
Visitation will be at Hansen-Onion-Martell funeral home in Marinette on Saturday, Feb. 7, from 9-11 a.m. A service will follow at 11 a.m.
