Vernon V. Voss

Vernon V. Voss, 79, of Mayflower Lake, passed away peacefully Monday, Aug. 3, 2020, at his home with his wife by his side.

Vernon was born April 23, 1941, in Waukegan, Illinois, the son of Arthur and Violet (Heidenbluth) Voss.

On Oct. 5, 1963, Vernon was united in marriage to Sharon Celesnik at Immaculate Conception Church, Waukegan.

Vernon worked at Nosco as a pressman for 33 years until his retirement. He enjoyed fishing on the lake and traveling. Vernon was a very handy man, making things with wood and refurbishing lawn mowers. He especially enjoyed spending time with his family.

Vernon is survived by his wife, Sharon; one son, Vernon D. (Candelora) Voss; two grandchildren, Jacob and Alexis Voss, and many other relatives and friends.

Vernon was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Ronald Voss.

A private family service will be held.
