Natalie McNurlen hit a game-winning shot at the buzzer to propel Lena to a nonconference win over Florence on Jan. 21 in Lena.

McNurlen finished with 16 points, while teammate Kennedy Marquardt led the team with 21 points. Chaela Rabas chipped in 13 points.

Rabas and McNurlen each hit three 3-pointers in the contest. Marquardt made 10 field goals.

Suring 57

Coleman 47

Suring dominated the second half to top Coleman in a Marinette & Oconto Conference clash on Jan. 21 in Suring. The Eagles outscored the visitors 35-18 in the final 18 minutes of play.

Paige Krueger finished with 23 points, 15 rebounds, four assists and four blocks to lead Suring. Kate Mahoney added 10 points and grabbed five boards.

Kylee Stelzer recorded nine points and four assists for the Eagles, while MacKenzie Bailey had eight points, 15 rebounds and four assists. Kelsey Smith grabbed eight rebounds.

"Unbelievable win for us tonight," said Suring coach Mitchell Woulf. "We struggled a bit in the first half, but came out guns a blazing in the second half. Kelsey Smith’s energy helped spark a run early in the second half for us and then she got injured, but we responded to adversity well. Paige was outstanding tonight, she was all over the boards and was a beast in the post. Big time game for her."
