Shawano boys tennis team takes 4th at conference tournament

The Shawano Community High School boys tennis team placed fourth at the Bay Conference Tournament on May 14 in De Pere.

Xavier won the tournament with 41 points. West De Pere was second with 35 points, while Fox Valley Lutheran had 24 points for third. Shawano scored 18 points to come in fourth.

Shawano’s Andrew VanDenHeuvel and Seth Williams teamed up for a third-place finish in No. 2 doubles action. Josh Bergmann placed third in No. 2 singles play.

VanDenHeuvel and Williams won their first two matches before losing against Xavier. Bergmann also won his first two matches before falling to a player from West De Pere.
