Oconto Falls School District voters will be asked in April to renew the district’s permission to exceed state-imposed revenue limits.

The school board on Jan. 11 approved a resolution and referendum question that will appear on the April 6 ballot.

Voters will be asked to approve a $3.3 million recurring referendum that extends the 2016 measure that authorizes the school district to exceed the limits by an additional $275,000 annually.

The measure would result in a tax mill rate reduction for each of the next four years and still provide funding for ongoing building maintenance, staff compensation competitive with neighboring districts, expanded course offerings, and additional security improvements at each building.
