Oconto County Times Herald distribution expands to entire county

News, sports to be accessible via mail to 11,000 homes

If this is the first time you’ve seen the Oconto County Times Herald in awhile, NEW Media Inc. welcomes you back.

Starting this week, the Oconto County Times Herald will be distributing 11,000 copies of the print edition via direct mail as part of its continuing mission of informing and educating Oconto County residents about what’s going on in their communities.

NEW Media has entered into a partnership with Iverson’s Piggly Wiggly to ship its grocery inserts with the newspaper weekly so that the Times Herald can be a resource for assisting with residents’ basic food needs. In addition the center spread will keep you updated on savings and events at Iverson’s Piggly Wiggly.

This has enabled NEW Media to expand its news offerings to more county residents and provided a compact resource for needed news and information. We take seriously our mission to keep readers informed with the most local news you won’t find anywhere else.

Information gathering habits change and evolve, NEW Media realizes it needs to evolve to keep up. There are plenty of resources Oconto County residents use to get their information; it is important to us to make sure you get our news because of our dedication to providing accurate, full information to the community. We provide unbiased stories about the government, community events, crime and high school sports — something that social media and other information outlets cannot.

Subscribers and newsstand purchasers will continue to have exclusive access to our living section, including Oconto County columnists Cathy Carnes, Kathleen Marsh and Kathryn Hennes. Television program information and the What’s Happening calendar have also been moved to the section. All content is also available at our website, newmedia-wi.com, which is updated daily with the latest news and sports from Oconto, Shawano and Menominee counties.

For those who already get the news regularly from NEW Media, we hope you continue to subscribe and get all the extras we offer. For those who are getting the Times Herald for the first time, we hope you enjoy keeping up with what’s happening in your community.
