Proceedings of April 14

A Sept. 21 jury trial was scheduled for Richard H. Deinert, 74, Fremont, on charges of aggravated battery of an elderly person, misdemeanor battery, and two misdemeanor counts of disorderly conduct, in connection with an incident that allegedly occurred Dec. 18, 2019. A final pre-trial conference was scheduled for Sept. 6.

A Sept. 28 jury trial was scheduled for Timothy J. Pearson, 37, Oconto, on charges of possession of methamphetamine and misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia, in connection with an incident that allegedly occurred Nov. 9. A final pre-trial conference was scheduled for Sept. 13.

Alex J. Herald, 30, Lena, pleaded not guilty to charges of injury by intoxicated use of a motor vehicle and first-degree recklessly endangering safety, in connection with a rollover crash on state Highway 22 in the Town of Oconto on Nov. 28. A pre-trial conference was scheduled for June 16.

Nicole Lynn Horsens, 42, Green Bay, pleaded not guilty to possession of methamphetamine, and misdemeanor counts of bail jumping and operating while her license is revoked, in connection with an incident that allegedly occurred Nov. 25. A pre-trial conference was scheduled for May 19.

Brady Lee Saunders, 34, Ripon, pleaded not guilty to charges of strangulation-suffocation, and misdemeanor resisting or obstructing an officer and disorderly conduct, in connection with an incident that allegedly occurred Nov. 25. A pre-trial conference was scheduled for June 16.

A $5,000 signature bond was authorized for Phillip John Waupoose, 38, Neopit, after he was charged with substantial battery intending bodily harm, intimidating victim/damage property, and misdemeanor counts of criminal damage to property and disorderly conduct, in connection with an incident that allegedly occurred March 29, 2020. His initial appearance was adjourned until May 19.

Bond was set at $2,500 cash for Nicholas William Wontor, 39, Amberg, after he was charged with possession of methamphetamine, possession of narcotic drugs, and misdemeanor counts of possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia, in connection with an incident that allegedly occurred March 1. A preliminary hearing was scheduled for April 22.

Proceedings of April 13

A May 4-5 jury trial was rescheduled to July 7-8 for Brian J. Ragen, 60, Oconto, who is charged with homicide by operating a motor vehicle with a restricted controlled substance and operating with a restricted controlled substance (fifth offense), in connection with a vehicle-pedestrian accident that claimed the life of Chris Tyni of Oconto on Nov. 21, 2019, and felony bail jumping, in connection with an incident that allegedly occurred Feb. 5, 2021. A motion hearing final pre-trial conference was scheduled for June 13.

Proceedings of April 11

James Orville Kressin, 70, Mountain, was sentenced to two years in prison, followed by three years of extended supervision, for operating a motor vehicle while intoxicated (fifth or sixth offense), in connection with an incident that occurred May 5, 2021. Among other conditions of his extended supervision, Judge Jay N. Conley ruled that Kressin must maintain absolute sobriety and complete all assessments, counseling or treatment deemed necessary by the Department of Corrections. His license is revoked for three years and he must install ignition interlock devices on any vehicles he owns.
