Nelson J. Sederstrom

By:

Nelson J. Sederstrom, 31, of Milwaukee, passed away unexpectedly at his home on Saturday, Jan. 2, 2021.

Nelson was born Sept. 18, 1989, in Green Bay to John Sederstrom and the former Virginia Andrews. Nelson grew up in the Shawano area and attended Shawano schools. He was a lifelong learner, earning a bachelor’s degree from UW-Milwaukee and was currently enrolled at UW-Milwaukee in a master’s program.

Nelson didn’t have interests; he had passions. He was passionate about cycling. He wouldn’t take a 5- or 10-mile ride; he would ride 50, 60 or 70 miles, cycling through the beautiful trails in and around Milwaukee, the city he loved, and stopping at his favorite churches, cemeteries, food trucks and parks. He was passionate about yoga, chess, weight lifting, tennis, cooking (which he was great at), his favorite artists; Madonna and Shirley Manson (garbage band), a love for horror and David Lynch movies.

He loved to travel, having been to Europe twice, Mexico numerous times, Peru and many places in the United States. He had a smile that would light up the room and a sense of humor not everyone understood. Nelson will be greatly missed by family, relatives, best friend Bailey, close friends Britni, Lauren, Kayla, Marcelo and many more.

Survivors include his mother and stepdad, Virginia and Dan Gregorius, of Tomahawk; his dad and stepmother, John and Sue Sederstrom, of Bowler; and a brother, Josh (Sabrina) Sederstrom, of Shawano. Nelson was also loved by many aunts, uncles and cousins.

Nelson Sederstrom’s life will be celebrated privately.
