Several longtime Oconto Falls educators plan to call it a career after this school year.
The Oconto Falls School Board approved retirement requests on March 14 from Pam Zeman, a speech and language teacher at Oconto Falls Elementary School, after 37 years; Amy Thiel, choir director at Oconto Falls High School, after 35 years; and Laurie Fries, elementary school special education teacher, after 33 years.
“It’s important to note that with these three individuals, we have more than 105 years of service,” Superintendent Dean Hess said. “We really appreciate their service to this school district.”
The retirements, effective at the end of the academic year, were approved “with sincere thanks.”
