Linda B. Boerst

Linda B. Boerst, 93, of Shawano, passed away on Easter Sunday, April 4, 2021. Linda was born Dec. 6, 1927, in Cheboygan, Michigan, the daughter of the late Rev. Christoph and Louise (Schultz) Domke. She graduated from Bowler High School.

On Oct. 13, 1951, Linda was united in marriage to Myrin Boerst. Linda and Myrin lived in Bonduel in their early married life. The family moved to Shawano in 1967, where Linda worked at County Farm/Maple Lane with Myrin, who was administrator. In 1974, they moved to Weyauwega and worked at Lakeview Manor. After Myrin’s death in 1983, Linda returned to their weekend Shawano Lake home and made it her permanent residence. She worked at Koepsells for many years.

Linda was a member of St. James Lutheran Church and Sweet Adelines. Her biggest joy was spending time with family, and they were welcomed every weekend at the lake home for a great meal, some water fun and relaxation.

Linda is survived by her sons, Michael Boerst and Mark (Debbie) Boerst; daughter-in-law, Amy Boerst; grandchildren, Amanda (Michael) Schroeder, Shawn (Amanda) Boerst, Jarod Boerst, Melissa (friend Christopher) Boerst and Lindsay (Eric) Davis; and great-grandchildren, Anabelle, Wyatt and Owen Schroeder, Evan, Nadia and Lara Boerst, and Kylee Davis. She is further survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Myrin; daughter and son-in-law, Jennifer and Dohn Heling; and son, Miles Boerst. Linda was also preceded by three brothers and eight sisters.

A funeral service for Linda will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, April 9, 2021, at St. James Lutheran Church in Shawano with the Rev. Steven Schauder officiating. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery. Visitation will be held at the church on Friday from 9:30 a.m. until the time of the service.

Thank you to the caring staff at The Pines, especially her granddaughter, Amanda, for the compassion and love given to Linda.
