Library offering online presentation on identity theft

Along with the Bureau of Consumer Protection, Shawano County Library will be offering “Identity Theft: Protect and Prevent” by Jeff Kersten at 2 p.m. Feb. 4.

This live program will be available virtually on the library’s Facebook page.

The Wisconsin Bureau of Consumer Protection will explain the different types of identity theft, how to recognize it and how to prevent it — including information about fraud alerts and security freezes. Participants will receive tips for safeguarding personal information and how to spot the red flags of a scam.
