Legion baseball highlights (June 22)

Pulaski 11

Wrightstown 6

Pulaski rallied past Wrightstown in a tournament game on June 22 in Clintonville. Pulaski scored twice in the third inning to tie the game before putting together a seven-run fourth frame.

Brayden Otto drove in three runs on three hits and scored twice to lead Pulaski offensively. He also stole two bases.

Jonah Klingeisen scored three runs and also recorded three hits, while Michael Molthen and Gavin Ostrenga had two hits each.

Lincoln Simons started for Pulaski and worked the first five innings to get the win. Klingeisen got the final six outs.

Waupaca 10

Shawano 4

Shawano dropped a contest against Waupaca on June 22 in Waupaca.

Andrew Popp, Brady Hannes and Zac Jurmu all drove in a run for Shawano. Ashton Henning and Popp had two hits each, while Popp also scored twice.

Bryce Popp took the loss after pitching the first four innings. He struck out five batters over that span. Brady Glysch got the other six outs, allowing two unearned runs.

Bonduel, Witt-Birn, Menominee Indian lose tournament openers

Bonduel, Wittenberg-Birnamwood and Menominee Indian all lost tournament games on June 22.

Bonduel lost a 5-4 game against Seymour in New London, while Witt-Birn dropped a 6-5 contest to New London in New London. Menominee Indian was defeated 14-0 by Clintonville in Clintonville.

Bonduel and Witt-Birn will battle at 8 p.m. on June 23 in New London in an elimination game, while Menominee Indian faces Wrightstown in another elimination contest at 5:30 p.m. in New London.

In the winner's bracket, Pulaski and Clintonville will battle at 8 p.m. in Clintonville. Seymour and New London will square off at 5:30 p.m. in Clintonville.
