SOFTBALL

Shawano 9

Shawano lost a high-scoring Bay Conference clash against New London on May 3 in Shawano. The Hawks fell behind 13-0 before tallying six runs in the fifth and three in the seventh.

Abby Bystol led Shawano at the plate with two hits and two RBIs, while also scoring twice. Braylyn Babino and Ella Stuber also drove in two runs each. Abby Wachtel posted two hits and scored twice, while Marissa Tomashek scored two runs.

Bystol took the loss in the circle after pitching three innings. Babino worked the last four frames.

BASEBALL

Pulaski 2

Pulaski fell to Ashwaubenon in a Fox River Classic Conference matchup on May 3 in Pulaski.

Lincoln Simons had two of Pulaski's five hits in the contest. Brady Wotruba and Bryce Wotruba scored the runs for the hosts.

Pulaski batters also drew six walks in the contest, but ended up stranding 10 runners on base.

Kyle Olson was dealt the loss on the mound after striking out five batters over 5⅓ innings. Two of the runs he allowed were unearned. Simons got the final five outs for the Red Raiders.
