SOFTBALL

Bonduel 7

Sevastopol 6

Bonduel edged Sevastopol in a nonconference clash on May 3 after Macy Niles scored on a wild pitch in the bottom of the seventh inning.

Tatum Sporisky led Bonduel with three hits, while Hailee Thompson, Nakiyah Henning and Abby Stoltenow had two hits each.

Thompson also scored twice and drove in a pair. Henning was credited with two RBIs.

Claire Gehm earned the win in the circle after working five scoreless innings. Hailey Zernicke pitched the first two innings for Bonduel.

Tigerton 12

NL/WVL 2 (6 inn.)

Tigerton cruised to a Central Wisconsin Conference-North Division win over Northland Lutheran/Wisconsin Valley Lutheran on May 3 in Tigerton.

Abby Swartz plated three runs on four hits, scored three runs and stole two bases to lead Tigerton offensively. Bethany Jobe and Jess Burayi each drove in a pair on two hits.

Skyler Hauser scored three runs for Tigerton, which broke the game open with a six-run fourth. Burayi led the team with four steals, with Hauser and Angel Welch tallying two each.

Crivitz 14

Menominee Indian 4 (5 inn.)

Menominee Indian couldn’t keep pace with Crivitz in a nonconference matchup on May 3 in Crivitz.

Alexis Wilber drove in two runs for Menominee Indian, while Ashlee Corn scored twice. Aniya Peters drew three walks for the Eagles.

Peters took the loss in the circle after pitching the entire game.

GIRLS SOCCER

Shawano 8

New London 1

Shawano rolled to a Bay Conference win over New London on May 3 in New London.

Shawano’s Caitlyn Moede scored two goals off assists from Abigail Rabideau. Moede also assisted on a goal by Adison Moesch.

Rabideau set up Moesch for a score and also scored on a corner kick. Anne Carrier, Trinity Popelka and Kaylee Rindt had Shawano’s other goals.

Goalie Brynlie Boyles made two saves for Shawano.

Sheboygan North 4

Pulaski 1

Pulaski dropped a Fox River Classic Conference clash to Sheboygan North on May 3 in Pulaski.

Sarah Johnson netted Pulaski’s lone goal in the 62nd minute off an assist from Gianna Logue.

Ella Sasse tallied seven saves in the game for the Red Raiders.

BOYS GOLF

Shawano takes 3rd at Bay meet

Shawano turned in a team score of 174 to place third during a Bay meet on May 3 at Crystal Springs Golf Course in Seymour.

Kaden Marcell led Shawano with a nine-hole score of 39. Owen Moesch fired a 42.

Gage Gorman tallied a round of 46 for the Hawks, while Aidan Miesbauer and Akrin Verhein rounded out the team with scores of 47 and 48, respectively.

BASEBALL

Marion tops Gresham twice

Marion earned 5-0 and 19-3 wins over Gresham in CWC-North play on May 3 in Marion. Both games were scheduled five-inning games, with the 19-3 game lasting just three frames.

Marion’s Jaden Stuhr threw a no-hitter in the 5-0 win, striking out 10 and walking three. Alex Zimmerman drove in a pair on three hits, while Ethan Scheef had two hits.

In the 19-3 win, Marion’s Zimmerman got the win after working two innings, and Jay Brei got the final three outs. Nick Malueg and Brei each drove in three runs on four hits, while Ryan Malueg and Jack Van Kooy had three RBIs on three hits. Scheef drove in a pair on two hits.

Oconto 5

Bonduel 3

Bonduel lost a nonconference game to Oconto on May 3 in Oconto.

Noah Weier drove in two runs for Bonduel, which finished with only four hits.

Five errors cost the Bears and allowed Oconto to rally from a 3-1 deficit.

Brodie Hartmann started and worked 4⅓ innings for Bonduel. Charlie Tauchen took the loss after working the final 1⅔ innings.

Mosinee 7

Shawano 3

Shawano dropped a nonconference matchup to Mosinee on May 3 in Mosinee.

Ashton Henning drove in two runs for Shawano. Henning, Jacob Polzin and Joey Sperberg all scored a run.

Michael Metcalf-Grassman was tagged for the loss on the mound after allowing six runs (two earned) over four innings. Brady Glysch got the final six outs.

Bay Port 7

Pulaski 1

Pulaski dropped a FRCC contest on May 3 in Pulaski.

Max Burdette drove in Lincoln Simons for Pulaski's lone run.

Simons took the loss on the hill, allowing five runs over 3⅓ innings. Mason Petzel and Burdette also pitched in the contest.

Shawano 2

Shawano dropped a Bay match to Fox Valley Lutheran on May 3 in Shawano.

Josh Bergmann picked up a win at No. 2 singles for Shawano. Tristan Tetting and Isaac Welander teamed up for a win at No. 1 doubles.
