SOFTBALL

Menominee Indian 16

Bowler/Gresham 1 (4 inn.)

Menominee Indian cruised to a Central Wisconsin Conference crossover win over Bowler/Gresham on May 17 in Keshena.

Shauna Madosh drove in five runs on three hits and scored twice for Menominee Indian. Simone Perez tallied two hits and scored twice, while Ashlee Corn scored three times.

Aniya Peters pitched all four innings to pick up the win, striking out three while allowing an unearned run.

Brandi Spencer was dealt the loss for Bowler/Gresham.

BASEBALL

Bonduel 2

Peshtigo 0

Bonduel knocked off Peshtigo in nonconference play May 17 in Bonduel.

Noah Weier started on the mound for Bonduel and struck out five batters. Cade Johnson got the win in relief after striking out three and not allowing a hit over 4⅓ innings.

Bonduel's two runs came in the sixth when Charlie Tauchen hit a bouncer up the middle. Bennett Engel and Colin Margelofsky tallied two hits each for the Bears.

Marion 8

Port Edwards 6

Marion improved to 13-1 on the season after a CWC crossover win over Port Edwards on May 17 in Marion.

Alex Zimmerman led the Mustangs to victory. He drove in five runs on three hits at the plate, while working five innings on the hill to secure the win.

Jackson Krohn added two hits and drove in a run for Marion.

Jay Brei and Nick Malueg each worked an inning to help Marion seal up its win.

Xavier 2

Shawano 1

Shawano fell short in a Bay Conference clash with Xavier on May 17 in Appleton.

Ashton Henning drove in Zac Jurmu for Shawano's only run.

Henning was dealt the tough loss on the mound, striking out five batters over six innings. Only one of the runs he allowed was earned.

Little Chute 11

Pulaski 0

Pulaski lost a nonconference game to Little Chute on May 17 in Little Chute.

Pulaski was limited to five singles in the contest. The Red Raiders committed eight errors.

Lincoln Simons, Michael Molthen, Mason Petzel and Braeden Eron all pitched for Pulaski.

Marinette 5

Oconto Falls 3

Oconto Falls fell short in a North Eastern Conference game against Marinette on May 19 in Marinette.

Braden Vandermoss, Logan Kramer and Isaac Raddatz all drove in a run for Oconto Falls. Cy Vizelka and Kramer led the team with two hits each.

Jake Sager pitched the first five innings for Oconto Falls, allowing two runs (one earned) and striking out three. Vandermoss worked the final inning, taking the loss.

BOYS GOLF

Shawano claims 3rd at Bay meet

Shawano tallied a team score of 345 at the final Bay Conference meet on May 17 at Wander Springs Golf Course in Greenleaf.

Kaden Marcell shot an 18-hole round of 75 to lead Shawano and finish as the meet's medalist.

Ayden Hale and Owen Moesch each fired rounds of 89 for the Hawks. Akrin Verhein tallied a 92 and Gage Gorman a 93 to round out the team.

Witt-Birn wins invite

Wittenberg-Birnamwood posted a team score of 381 to win the Bullseye Invite on May 17 at Bullseye Golf Club in Wisconsin Rapids.

Calvin Scheurer led the Chargers with an 18-hole round of 84 to finish as the invite's medalist. Nolan Fraaza fired a round of 90, while Dylan Resch tallied a 102. Owen Schultz (105) and Logan Hanson (120) rounded out the team.

Marion placed fourth with a team score of 426. Isaiah Gueths led the team with a round of 90. Quinn Tolan (104), Sam Gueths (115), Kasey Roethle (117) and Owen Speigel (120) capped the team.

Menominee Indian/Gresham placed sixth with a mark of 446. Corbin Welch (96), Dugan Webster (102), Fynn Bennett (113), Reese Nietzer (135) and Trentyn Harrison (139) formed the team. Bonduel's team of Jaxon Bogacz (100), Sam Wolf (117), Mason Zuleger (128), William Schauder (132) and Keaton Bahr (137) placed eighth with a score of 477.

GIRLS SOCCER

Shawano 10

Green Bay West 0

Shawano earned its second 10-0 win of the week in a Bay Conference Tournament match against Green Bay West on May 17 in Green Bay. The Hawks led by just two at halftime before busting the match open with eight goals in the final half.

Trinity Popelka had a monster game for Shawano, scoring five goals. Kaylee Rindt and Abigail Rabideau scored two goals each, while Caitlyn Moede had the other goal.

Rabideau was credited with three assists, while Adison Moesch had two assists. Popelka and Evony Perez finished with an assist each.
