BASEBALL

Marion 11

Manawa 0 (5 inn.)

Marion's Jaden Stuhr pitched a five-inning perfect game in the team's Central Wisconsin Conference-North Division win over Manawa on May 12 in Marion.

The first batter that faced Stuhr popped out to third base before Stuhr struck out the final 14 batters.

Nick Malueg got on base four times and scored three runs for Marion. Ryan Malueg, Alex Zimmerman and Stuhr all scored twice.

SOFTBALL

Tigerton wins a pair

Tigerton won 18-3 and 23-14 against Bowler/Gresham in CWC-North play on May 12 in Tigerton.

In the 18-3 win, Abby Swartz drove in four runs on three hits and scored three runs for Tigerton. Bethany Jobe drove in three runs, while McKenzie Hoffman, Elizabeth Stueck, Jess Zimdars and Jess Burayi all had two RBIs. Skyler Hauser earned the win in the circle after pitching all four innings.

Jobe tallied five RBIs in the team's 23-run game. Swartz, Zimdars and Maycee Carlson all had three RBIs, while Carlson also had four hits. Hauser and Welch each pitched for the Tigers, with Welch getting the win after getting seven outs.

Manawa 12

Marion 1 (6 inn.)

One tough inning hurt Marion in a CWC-North loss to Manawa on May 12 in Marion. Manawa scored six runs in the fifth inning to break open a tight game.

Eden Brennan scored Marion's run in the fourth inning after singling.

Morgan Schwartz was dealt the loss in the circle.

Pulaski 0

Pulaski was blanked in a Fox River Classic Conference match against De Pere on May 12 in De Pere.

Pulaski goalie Ella Sasse was credited with three saves in the contest.

Seymour 3

Shawano 2

Shawano dropped a Bay Conference match to Seymour on May 12 in Seymour.

Evony Perez scored for Shawano at the 37:45 mark off an assist from Kaylee Rindt. Rindt then scored at the 38:43 mark, with Adison Moesch assisting.

Shawano goalie Brynlie Boyles had 14 saves.

BOYS GOLF

Witt-Birn wins invite

Wittenberg-Birnamwood posted a team score of 353 to win the Marion Invite on May 12 at Glen Cairn Golf Course in Ogdensburg.

Nolan Fraaza led the Chargers with an 18-hole round of 85, while teammate Calvin Scheurer fired an 86. Joey Seegmiller and Owen Schultz each carded 91s, with Dylan Resch at a 97.

Bonduel placed second with a mark of 377. Colin Margelofsky shot a round of 80 to finish as the invite's medalist. Reece Stoltenow (95), Charlie Tauchen (100), Noah Weier (102) and Louis Hrabik (112) filled out the team.

Marion had a team score of 414 to place seventh. Isaiah Gueths (92), Sam Gueths (97), Quinn Tolan (108), Kasey Roethle (117) and Owen Speigel (126) formed the team. Menominee Indian/Gresham took 10th with a score of 468. The team's four-golfer team consisted of Dugan Webster (101), Ayanna Smith (109), Fynn Bennett (118) and Reese Nietzer (140).

Shawano couldn't earn any wins during a Bay Conference match with West De Pere on May 12 in De Pere.

The Hawks' No. 1 doubles team of George Buerman and Tristan Sheldon scored the most points for the team.
