GIRLS SOCCER

Shawano 2

Shawano dropped a Bay Conference match to Menasha on May 10 in Shawano.

Shawano trailed 7-0 at halftime.

Trinity Popelka netted both goals for the hosts, scoring unassisted at the 72:50 and 77:02 marks.

Goalie Brynlie Boyles made seven saves for Shawano.

Bay Port 1

Pulaski 0

Pulaski dropped a tight Fox River Classic Conference match to Bay Port on May 10 in Pulaski.

Bay Port scored the only goal in the seventh minute.

Pulaski goalie Ella Sasse recorded three saves.

BASEBALL

Pulaski splits with Sheboygan North

Pulaski split a pair of FRCC games with Sheboygan North on May 10 in Pulaski.

The Red Raiders lost 9-8 in the completion of a game that began April 12, but won 14-2 in the other game to salvage the split.

In the 9-8 loss, Logan Hochevar and Jonah Klingeisen each drove in two runs for Pulaski, while Max Burdette scored three runs. Lincoln Simons took the loss, with Kyle Olson, Braeden Eron and Klingeisen also pitching in the contest.

Simons drove in five runs on four hits and scored three runs to power Pulaski in its win. Mason Petzel homered among his two hits and drove in three, while Klingeisen also had three RBIs on two hits. Olson earned the win after pitching the first six innings before Michael Wyent sealed up the win.

Waupaca 9

Oconto Falls 2

Oconto Falls dropped a North Eastern Conference game to Waupaca on May 10 in Oconto Falls.

Jeffrey Virtues drove in both of Oconto Falls' runs.

Oconto Falls' Tanner Wos pitched three innings and struck out three batters. Virtues had three strikeouts across four innings.

BOYS GOLF

Shawano claims 3rd at conference meet

Shawano placed third with a team score of 163 during a Bay Conference tour stop May 10 at Butte Des Morts Country Club in Appleton.

Kaden Marcell led the Hawks with a nine-hole round of 36 to tie for second as an individual.

Akrin Verhein and Owen Moesch each carded rounds of 41 for Shawano. Gage Gorman posted a round of 45, while Ayden Hale fired a 49 to round out the five-golfer team.

SOFTBALL

Wey-Fre 22

Menominee Indian 1 (2 inn.)

Menominee Indian lost a Central Wisconsin Conference-East Division matchup to Weyauwega-Fremont on May 10 in Keshena.

Simone Perez tallied Menominee Indian’s lone hit, stole a base and scored a run. Sam Wilber drew a walk.

Ashlee Corn, Alexis Wilber and Sam Wilber all pitched for Menominee Indian.
