GIRLS BASKETBALL

Bonduel 52

Algoma 33

Bonduel pulled away in the second half for a nonconference win over Algoma on Monday in Bonduel.

Allaina Robaidek and Kara Troxel led the way on offense for Bonduel, scoring 20 and 19 points, respectively. Madison Kurey chipped in seven points.

Robaidek knocked down four 3-pointers, while Troxel made two triples. Troxel also dished out five assists and had four steals. Kurey finished with four steals and five rebounds.

Bonduel held Algoma to just nine second-half points.

Wittenberg-Birnamwood 53

McDonell Central 47

Wittenberg-Birnamwood picked up a nonconference win over McDonell Central on Monday in Wittenberg.

Abi Fraaza and Emma Herb each scored 16 points for Witt-Birn, while Megan Konkol added eight points and Amara Schoepke seven points.

Fraaza also accumulated 14 rebounds and five assists, while Herb also grabbed 14 boards. Schoepke pulled down seven rebounds.

"Tonight's contest was a great matchup," said Witt-Birn coach Nick Mechelke. "We started out well and built a nine-point lead in the first half but just couldn't extend it. Maggie (Craker) for McDonnell Central shot the ball well and kept them in the game. (Our) girls just played gritty down the stretch and made some big plays!"

BOYS BASKETBALL

Bowler 60

White Lake 58

Zach Fehrman hit a go-ahead 3-pointer with 25 seconds left and Bowler held on from there for a nonconference win over White Lake on Monday in Bowler.

Fehrman finished the game with 27 points, while Logan Thiex added 13 points.

Freedom 66

Clintonville 59

Clintonville came up just short in a North Eastern Conference home matchup with Freedom on Monday.

Nathan Morse scored 24 points to pace Clintonville, while Aiden Polzin chipped in 17 points. No other Trucker had over six points.

HOCKEY

Shawano co-op 5

Fox Cities 4

The Shawano co-op scored the first three goals in the third period before hanging on in the final minutes for a tight win over Fox Cities on Monday at the Crawford Center.

Andrew Puissant netted three goals for Shawano, while Johnny Dillenburg had the other two.

Dillenburg also was credited with two assists, while Sam Arneson had one.

Shawano co-op goalie Caleb Davids made 28 saves wile defending the net.
