BASEBALL

Pulaski 7

Green Bay Southwest 6

Logan Hochevar drove in Kyle Olson and Will Friedman to give Pulaski a walk-off win over Green Bay Southwest in a Fox River Classic Conference battle on April 29 in Pulaski.

The Red Raiders trailed for most of the contest before scoring twice in the sixth inning to take a 5-4 lead. Green Bay Southwest scored twice in the seventh to regain the lead.

Hochevar finished the contest with three hits and four RBIs. Olson also had three hits, while Caden Rybicki, Jonah Klingeisen and Max Burdette had two hits each. Rybicki, who homered and doubled in the contest, and Olson scored two runs each.

Klingeisen earned the win on the mound after getting three outs in the seventh. Olson pitched the first six innings, allowing just one earned runs while striking out seven batters.

Marion 27

Wild Rose 4 (6 inn.)

Marion rolled to a Central Wisconsin Conference crossover win over Wild Rose on April 29 in Wild Rose.

The Mustangs posted 12 hits and walked 18 times while improving to 6-0 overall.

Jaden Stuhr tallied two hits and five RBIs to power Marion's offense. Ryan Malueg added four RBIs on two hits. Jay Brei and Jack Van Kooy chipped in two hits each, with Brei also driving in two runs.

Jaden Stuhr earned the win on the mound after striking out six batters over three scoreless innings. Ryan Malueg finished the contest for the Mustangs.

Shawano 9

Green Bay East/West 1

Shawano cruised to a Bay Conference victory over Green Bay East/West on April 29 in Green Bay.

Bryce Popp, Carson Popp and Zac Jurmu each drove in two runs for Shawano. Jacob Landon, Michael Metcalf-Grassman and Braedyn Kowalkowski scored two runs each.

Bryce Popp earned the win after allowing just one run over four innings and striking out four batters. Joey Sperberg worked the final three innings, striking out five along the way.

Witt-Birn 16

Spencer 8

Wittenberg-Birnamwood doubled up Spencer in a nonconference matchup on April 29 in Spencer.

Max Fraaza homered among his three hits and drove in three runs for Witt-Birn. Nathan Waupekenay drove in four runs on two hits, while Mason Meverden drove in two on two hits.

Ben Wesolowski finished with three hits and two runs scored for the Chargers. Evan Meverden posted three hits and scored twice, while Pierson Potrykus had two hits and two runs scored. Quinton Sippl also scored twice.

Waupekenay earned the win on the hill after striking out eight batters over 4⅓ innings. Chase Krull worked the other 2⅔ innings.

Florence 6

Lena 4 (9 inn.)

Lena dropped a tight nonconference game to Florence on April 29 in Lena.

Josh Kristof doubled twice and scored a run for Lena. Logan Shallow and Logan Graef also were credited with a RBI each. Tyler Shallow, Sam Marquardt, Logan Shallow and Lane Whiting scored the team's runs.

Tyler Shallow was dealt the loss on the mound after working 3⅓ innings. Whiting pitched five innings and struck out 13 batters while allowing just one hit and one walk. Wyatt Dean got the other two outs.

SOFTBALL

Tigerton 9

Tri-County 8

Tigerton scored twice in the bottom of the seventh inning to take down Tri-County in a CWC crossover game on April 29 in Tigerton.

Abby Swartz powered Tigerton's offense, finishing with four hits, two RBIs, two stolen bases and four runs scores. Bethany Jobe had three hits, two RBIs, three stolen bases and two runs scores.

Skyler Hauser earned the win in the circle after pitching all seven innings. She struck out five batters along the way.

D.C. Everest 5

Shawano 2

Shawano dropped a nonconference match to D.C. Everest on April 29 in Shawano.

George Buerman and Tristan Sheldon teamed up for a win at No. 1 doubles for Shawano, while Tristan Tetting and Isaac Welander picked up a win at No. 2 doubles.
