BOYS GOLF

Bonduel wins invite

Bonduel earned a team score of 361 to place first at the Weymont Invite on April 21 at Weymont Run Country Club in Weymont.

Cooper Uelmen shot an 18-hole round of 85 to pace the Bears. Jake Dreyer fired a 91, with Reece Stoltenow at a 92 and Reed Luepke a 93. Charlie Tauchen (105) was the team's other golfer.

Wittenberg-Birnamwood came in third with a mark of 412. Calvin Scheurer (84) and Nolan Fraaza (94) led the team, while Joey Seegmiller (106), Addisyn Meydam (128) and Abigail Rasmussen (140) filled it out.

Marion posted a score of 434 to claim fifth. Isaiah Gueths (97), Quinn Tolan (105), Sam Gueths (115), Kasey Roethle (117) and Owen Speigel (119) formed the team. Menominee Indian/Gresham took sixth with a team score of 446. Corbin Welch (94), Dugan Webster (109), Saswaen Shawanokasic (111), Reese Nietzer (132) and Trentyn Harrison (136) were the team's five golfers.

Lena claims conference meet

Lena won a Marinette & Oconto Conference meet on April 21 at Parkway Golf Course in Pound. The Wildcats finished with a team score of 189.

Braden McVane and Drake Dionne led Lena with nine-hole rounds of 44. Evan Vanderzanden shot a round of 50, with Mason Simonson and K.C. Miller shooting 51s.

Gillett came in sixth with a score of 264. Lars Grover led the Tigers with a round of 56, while Taylor Schuster fired a 63. Elsa Limberg (66) and Laney DeBauch (79) filled out the four-golfer team.

BASEBALL

Gresham 8

White Lake 7

Gresham clipped White Lake in a Central Wisconsin Conference-North Division clash on April 21 in Gresham.

Lukas Pecore drove in four runs on three hits, including a two-run homer, to power Gresham offensively. Austin Sperberg had three hits and three RBIs.

Sperberg also earned the win after striking out six batters over four innings.

Marion 11

Bowler 1 (5 inn.)

Marion rolled past Bowler in a CWC-North game on April 21 in Marion.

Jaden Stuhr drove in three runs for Marion, while Alex Zimmerman and Ryan Malueg had two RBIs each. Nick Malueg added a pair of hits.

Zimmerman earned the win on the hill after striking out eight batters over four innings. Jay Brei worked the final inning, striking out the side.

Amherst 6

Witt-Birn 1

Witt-Birn dropped a CWC-East matchup to Amherst on April 21 in Amherst.

Max Fraaza had two of Witt-Birn's three hits in the contest and scored the lone run.

Mason Meverden took the loss after allowing three runs over four innings. He struck out three batters. Ben Wesolowski pitched the other two innings.

Green Bay Preble 13

Pulaski 3 (5 inn.)

Pulaski dropped a Fox River Classic Conference game to Green Bay Preble on April 21 in Green Bay.

Will Friedman and Lincoln Simons each drove in a run for Pulaski, while Jonah Klingeisen led the team with two hits and two runs scored.

Kyle Olson was dealt the loss on the mound after allowing nine runs (six earned) across 3⅓ innings. Michael Wyent also pitched in the contest for the Red Raiders.

Gillett/Suring 14

STAA 4 (5 inn.)

Gillett/Suring eased to a Marinette & Oconto Conference victory over St. Thomas Aquinas Academy on April 21 in Gillett.

Taron Haak, Brady Kristof and Mikey Pecanas all drove in three runs for the co-op, while Ryan Pensis added two RBIs. Austin Vande Corput scored three runs. Haak, Pensis, Colton Peters and Quinn Thomson scored twice each.

Keegan Rattin started on the mound after struck out four batters over 2⅔ innings. Ethan Lally earned the win after getting the next four outs before Dalton Fidler worked an inning.

Shawano 9

West De Pere 6

Shawano moved to 4-1 on the season and in Bay Conference play after toppling West De Pere on April 21 in Shawano. The Hawks built an 8-0 lead in the first three innings and then held on late.

Ashton Henning led Shawano with three hits and two RBIs. Braedyn Kowalkowski also had three hits, while Carson Popp finished with two hits and two runs.

Andrew Popp earned the win on the mound after allowing one runs across five innings. Jacob Polzin got the next four outs before Henning sealed up the win by getting the last two outs.

SOFTBALL

Tigerton 12

NL/WVL 8

Tigerton earned a CWC-North home win over Northland Lutheran/Wisconsin Valley Lutheran on April 21.

Bethany Jobe finished with two hits, four RBIs and two runs scored to power Tigerton. Elizabeth Stueck and Angel Welch drove in two runs each.

Skyler Hauser scored three runs for the Tigers. McKenzie Hoffman and Maycee Carlson each scored twice. Carlson stole three bases, while Abby Swartz, Hauser and Hoffman had two each.

Hauser pitched all seven innings, striking out three along the way.

Shawano 3

Xavier 1

Shawano knocked off Xavier in a tight Bay Conference clash on April 21 in Shawano.

Margo Gull, Brianna Wright and Abby Bystol scored Shawano's runs. Isabel Daniel led the team with two hits.

Braylyn Babino earned the win in the circle, striking out nine while surrendering just three hits and no walks.

Wey-Fre 15

Menominee Indian 0 (4 inn.)

Menominee Indian managed just one hit in a CWC-East loss to Weyauwega-Fremont on April 21 in Weyauwega.

Ashlee Corn tallied the hit for the Eagles, a triple.

Aniya Peters was dealt the loss after pitching the entire game.

Gillett/Suring 16

STAA/Lena 15

Gillett/Suring overcame an 11-0 deficit and eventually won on a walk-off hit against M&O foe STAA/Lena on April 21 in Gillett.

Emma Kristof had three hits and seven RBIs for Gillett/Suring. Autumn Dryja and Madison Vandevelde each drove in a pair, with Vandevelde knocking in Bailey Stuart in the bottom of the seventh to win it. Stuart, Kylie Kallies and Morgan Dryja all scored three runs.

Kristof pitched the first two innings before Autumn Dryja worked the final five. Dryja struck out eight while picking up the win.

Breanna Koslowsky drove in three runs for STAA/Lena, while Chaela Rabas and Sydney Hayward had two RBIs each.

Shawano 0

Shawano dropped a Bay Conference match to Xavier on April 21 in Appleton.

Each singles player and doubles duo for Shawano lost 6-0, 6-0.
